About Lisa Brotz

Lisa is a writer, editor, and communications professional based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Since 2013, she has served as Corporate Communications Editor for Plastics Engineering Company, where she is also Editor-in-Chief of the company magazine, PlastiScope21. A certified copy editor and lifelong journaler, she brings a strong editorial background and a deep love of storytelling to her work.

Earlier in her career, Lisa founded and operated an equestrian center dedicated to teaching horsemanship and responsible horse care. As a 4-H Horse and Pony Project Leader, she mentored young riders and developed a passion for helping young people build confidence, curiosity, and compassion.

Lisa is currently putting the final touches on her debut middle-grade sci-fi cozy Willoughby’s Way, a gentle adventure filled with humor, heart, and a touch of whimsy. Her stories invite readers into imaginative worlds where curiosity leads the way and kindness makes a difference.

She lives on a hobby farm near the shores of Lake Michigan with her fiancé, Matt, and their lively collection of 18 animals. An accomplished equestrian, Lisa finds inspiration in the rhythms of farm life and the personalities of the animals around her. When she isn’t writing or editing, she enjoys photography, yoga, and plant-based cooking.

Author's Note:  All stories are created through lived experience, real life on a hobby farm, and imagination, not automation. Every sentence is shaped by a personal process of observation and curiosity, and guided by human thought, craft, and care. No generative AI is used in the creation of my stories or prose.
